ITP-AA Young Researchers Program

 

Eligibility: MA and PhD students enrolled at TUFS, and other young researchers of TUFS (PDs, Assistant Professors) in the field of Asian and African studies

 

Period of research: 2 months to 12 months [However, proposals for projects for a period of 6 months are preferred]

 

Expenses to be covered by TUFS:
TUFS will provide young researchers with the expenses stated below (1) when they conduct their research and field study at partner institutions in Asia and Africa under the supervision of onsite advisors and (2) when they receive guidance on enhancing their data-analysis capabilities and their theoretical foundation at CAAS member institutions following the stage (1). 


-Round trip travel to a Partner Institution.
-Expenses during the stay [Up to 8 months allowance will be provided at the rate prescribed by ITP-AA committee]
-Vaccination, fees for issuing passport and visa, medical examination for obtaining visa
-Passenger service facility charges and departure/ entry tax
-Overseas travel insurance
-Tuition, research fee
-Others (considered being necessary for the research) [However, some expenses will not be covered under this, such as: Purchase/rental of computers/cell-phones, vehicle hiring charges, internet usage charges, proof-reading charges etc.]

Note:

ITP-AA Committee allows the applicants to apply to similar programs. However, once accepted, candidate must choose either one.
