Overview

To activate 2FA with the iPhone's built-in password manager to the TUFS authentication system, follow the instructions below. (It requires iOS15/iPadOS15 or later.)

The outline of the procedure is the following steps.

1. Register your TUFS ID and password to iPhone's or iPad's built-in password manager in advance.

（If the QR code to activete 2FA is scanned while the password is not saved in the password Manager, the verification code may be lost.）

2. Scan the QR code with your iPhone or iPad displayed on the TUFS authentication system.

3. A 6-digit numeric code will be displayed on your iPhone or iPad as a verification code. Please enter this code in the verification code field on the TUFS authentication system.

4. If the confirmation code is entered correctly, 2FA will be enabled from the next authentication.

Once 2FA is enabled, you will be asked to enter a code after authentication with ID / Password.

The confirmation code will be displayed in the password field saved in step 1.

Activate procedures details

1. When you log in to systems shown below, you will see the authentication screen as shown in the image.

Please enter your TUFS ID in the User Name field and TUFS password in the Password field on the screen and click "LOG IN".

■ Corresponding systems

• Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Classroom, Google Drive etc. by using TUFS account)
• Information Infrastructure Service System (IISS)
• Zoom (Only if you sign in with Google by using TUFS account)

2. If you successfully log in, you will see the following display. If you wish to activate 2FA, prease click on "REGISTER DEVICE".

3. A QR code for device registration like bellow will be displayed. Please scan the displayed QR code from your iPhone or iPad by referring to steps 4 to 9 below.

（If the QR scanned while the password is not saved in the password Manager, the confirmation code may be lost.

For this reason, we recommend to scan the QR code useing following procedure.）

4. Please open "Password" in "Settings" on your iPhone or iPad.

　
5. Prease tap the + button.

6. Enter the following information and click "Done".

Website: 　iccoam.tufs.ac.jp

User Name: TUFS ID

Password: TUFS Password

　

7. Please tap "Set Up Verificaton Code".

8. Please tap "Scan QR Code".

9. Please scan the QR code displayed in step3. If the scan is successful, a six-digit verification code will appear in the password manager.

After your confirm the code appears in the password manager, please click the NEXT button under the QR code in step 3.

10. Please enter the verification code displayed in the password manager in the verification code entry field as shown below.

Login procedure after 2FA activation

1. When you log in to systems shown below, you will see the authentication screen as shown in the image.

Please enter your TUFS ID in the User Name field and TUFS password in the Password field on the screen and click "LOG IN".

2. Please open "Password" in "Settings" on your iPhone or iPad.

3. Please opne tufs.ac.jp in the list of Passwords items.

4. Please enter the verification code displayed in the password manager in the verification code entry field as shown below.
