Program
"GAZA FACES, NOT JUST NUMBERS!" is an international project that archives the faces and names of victims of the ongoing invasion of Gaza.
We will hold the first poster exhibition of "Gaza Faces," the Japanese version. English translations will also be available.
The faces and names of Palestinian victims are rarely covered in the mainstream media. Instead, they are often reduced to mere numbers in a death toll.
In this exhibition, we emphasize that they are not just numbers, but individual human beings. They were athletes, students, doctors, farmers, and more. They were someone to someone. There was more to them than just the violence and occupation they were subjected to. There was more to them than just the aid they required.
The exhibition will also feature poems by Palestinian poets from the May 2024 issue of "Gendai Shi Techo" and the publication and website "Passages Through Genocide."
