Maybe this is a leap, but I have a feeling it has something to do with the deep-seated tradition of a freedom-filled summer break. Summer represents the inverse of an organized routine. I remember growing up, those few days before school let out. I got absolutely nothing done. In my mind, I was already relieved of all my duties, and that meant that I could do whatever I wanted. It got very casual, very quick. |
