{"id":644,"date":"2021-06-10T15:20:06","date_gmt":"2021-06-10T06:20:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.tufs.ac.jp\/tp-coil\/?p=644"},"modified":"2021-06-10T15:20:06","modified_gmt":"2021-06-10T06:20:06","slug":"%ef%bc%bbtufs%ef%bc%bdonline-study-tour-in-usa-for-students-in-japan-2021-02","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp.tufs.ac.jp\/tp-coil\/en\/2021\/06\/10\/post-644\/","title":{"rendered":"\uff3bTUFS\uff3dOnline study tour in USA for students in Japan (2021. 02)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In line with the theme of this project, we conducted participatory online study tours to learn about American culture and gender issues by listening to experts with online fieldtrips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was held twice: &#8220;Japanese Art from the U.S. Perspective&#8221; and &#8220;UN Women&#8217;s Approach to Gender Issues&#8221;. Students from three universities, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, International Christian University and Aoyama Gakuin University participated in the tours. These were carried out as extracurricular activities. A student who was scheduled to study in the U.S. in the year was involved as an assistant for this project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In \u201cJapanese Art from the U.S. Perspective\u201d tour, students visited Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in NY online. Shinsuke Aso, who works there as a Japanese educator, introduced the influence of the Japanese art on the collection in the museum and the Japanese art exhibition there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In \u201cUN Women\u2019s Approach to Gender Issues\u201d tour, UN Women officers explained its approach to gender issues.
