About Student Activities During and After the Holidays

We lifted restrictions regarding on-site activities since October 1, 2021, however, covid-19 risk is still present. Further, concerns regarding such activities have been raised. We ask you to be particularly careful of the following from January onwards.

  1. Be sure to practice basic covid-19 prevention measures
    (1) Avoid closed and crowded places while making sure keep social distance. Always wear a mask on campus. Also, make sure to keep a distance of 1 to 2 meters from one another when talking.
    (2) Sanitize your hands frequently.
    (3) Refrain from coming to TUFS if you have symptoms like a fever.
    (4) Walking while drinking (this includes eating in public spaces like parks and roads) is prohibited.
    Check municipal restriction and make sure to go to a place that has active anti-covid measures. Refrain from doing risky things like large-group gatherings and talking loudly.
  2. Check your health daily
    We are giving away covid-19 test kits thanks to the collaboration of TUFS’ alumni association. Make sure to get yourself one so you can use it should you need one.

  3. What to do if you have covid-19 symptoms or suspect infection
    Refrain from doing any type of activity if you have symptoms like a fever higher than 37.5, a headache or a cough. Should you suspect covid-19 infection, get in contact with us from the following form:
  4. About going home for the holidays
    Make sure the passenger transportation provider of your choice practices proper ensuring safety of traveling, especially if you are choosing one that is particularly cheap.
  5. About extracurricular activities of the University from January onwards
    Make sure to follow the guidelines for extracurricular activities and practice proper anti-covid measures. Also, be sure to inform the Student Affairs Division (Gakuseika) either before or after you conduct activities.
