Binasuan (ビナスアン）

This is a popular wine dance from the sugarfields of Pangasinan province in Luzon Island. In this dance, dancers skillfully balance three glasses of “tuba,” a popular alcoholic beverage made from the coconut juice, on the head and on both hands.

ワインの入ったグラスを頭や手に乗せて巧みに操る踊り。お祭りや結婚式の場で踊られている。この踊りはルソン島中部のパンガシナン州に伝わり、ビナスーアンとはパンガシナン語で“グラスを使って”という意味。
