I was able to work on developing the concepts of "agency", "resources" and "political structure" as empowerment indicators into a questioner that will help in comprehending the reason of the low political participation of women versus their empowerment indicators. The questioner will be the guiding framework for the study. Professor Mbarak helped in organizing the concepts and the questions according to the Lebanese context.
I attended a seminar on women's political participation that was funded by UNIFEM by which I was able to contact participants and meet many of actives.
