The 11th Annual Symposium of the Consortium for Asian and African Studies(draft)

"The 11th Annual Symposium of the Consortium for Asian and African Studies (CAAS) "Diversity and Representation: Representing Diversity, Diversifying Representation"" was held online by School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London for three days from November 11th to 13th, 2021,

Starting with the opening address by CAAS Executive Coordinator, Professor Jun MATSUKUMA (TUFS Vice President), a total of 50 faculty and students from CAAS member institutions presented their research over 3 days. On the final day of the symposium was titled "Africa Day", a roundtable was held to exchange ideas among African researchers.

This symposium was a valuable opportunity for young researchers to gain significant experience by presenting their research at international symposium, and for researchers and young researchers conducting cutting-edge research around the world to exchange their research.

Due to the coronavirus, the symposium was held online this time, but next year it will be held in person at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.
