From July 26 to 30, the Practitioner Workshop was held online as the graduate school’s intensive lectures offered by “History in the Public Sphere”. We invited practitioners who are involved in “history” as lecturers to think about “representing history”.<\/p>\n
The lecturer for the first day, Mr. Takashi Arai (photographer and filmmaker), creates works using the daguerreotype, a photographic technique from the dawn of time. It is a technique that requires a great deal of time to take a single image, and if properly preserved, has the potential to retain its quality for hundreds of years.
