About a year has passed since the outbreak of COVID-19. There are still many things we don't know about this infection, but we've learned a lot of new information and how to control it. Now we are living in the corona era while incorporating the proposed new lifestyle and living a different daily life. In a society where COVID-19 infection is widespread, it is required to thoroughly implement infection control on campus together with students, faculty members, and university staffs, in order to maintain and develop the function as a university and continue learning opportunities for students.
As you may already know, just to reconfirm, we would like to ask you to perform the following countermeasures personally and socially.

Countermeasures in personal level

  • Confirmation of daily health status
Before coming to university or work, check your body temperature and health condition, and pay attention to health management. If you have unusual symptoms, take a break to manage your physical condition.
  • Thoroughness of countermeasures in daily life
Three Basics: keep physical distance, wear a mask, hand hygiene.
① Keeping physical distance: Keep a distance of more than 2 meters, avoid standing right in front of each other during conversation.
② Wearing face mask: The need for a mask during conversation is necessary not only to prevent inhalation of droplets from other person, but also to prevent the spread of droplets to other person. Mutual consideration is required for each other.
③ Hand hygiene: Carefully wash with soap and running water for about 30 seconds is recommended.
  • Countermeasures for transfer
Refrain from moving around endemic areas.
    Use of ‘Contact application’.
  • Frequent air ventilation
  • Understanding and implementing appropriate lifestyle habits such as exercise, enough sleep and diet according to one's health condition to maintain immunity.

Countermeasures in university and social life

  • Do not participate in group activities when there are abnormalities in your daily health status. Courage not to participate (do not go) is also important.
  • Act to avoid three C’s; closed space, crowded places, and close contact.
  • Pay attention to “5 situations” that increase the risk of infection;
①Social gathering with eating and drinking
    ②Long feasts in large groups
    ③Conversation without a mask
④Living together in a small limited space
⑤Pay attention to switching whereabouts and do not spread COVID-19 infection
Especially, in the end of or the start of academic year, the chance of gathering will increase, so please pay special attention.
  • If you are diagnosed with ‘COVID-19’, if you have been tested for COVID-19 (both PCR and antigen), if you have been designated as a close contact, or if you are suspicious of COVID-19 due to your continuous symptoms, please report using our ‘New Corona Contact Form’ on TUFS web page, and also please follow the ‘University Response to COVID-19’ on the web page.

We will continue to live a new lifestyle in the Corona Era. In addition, our lifestyle will change as new findings are introduced little by little.

If you have any questions, please consult Health Care Center, TUFS.
