President of Portuguese Assembly Visits TUFS

On Tuesday, November 15, 2022, H.E. Dr. Augusto Santos Silva, President of the Assembly of the Portuguese Republic, and 15 other members of the Portuguese Assembly paid a courtesy visit to TUFS President Kayoko Hayashi. Dr. Silva expressed his gratitude to TUFS for its longstanding leadership in Portuguese language education in Japan, and his desire to continue stable student exchange between the two countries in order to promote exchange relations between Portugal and Japan.

After the meeting, Dr. Silva gave a lecture to the Portuguese language students at TUFS. He spoke in Portuguese about Portugal’s mission in a historical context and encouraged the students to be enthusiastic about learning Portuguese.
