Play in Arabic Performed at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Japan

On December 18, 2021, a ceremony to celebrate UN Arabic Language Day was held at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Professor AOYAMA Hiroyuki (Institute of Global Studies) and specially appointed lecturer Mr. Khaldoon HUSSIEN participated from TUFS, along with students majoring in Arabic.

December 18 was chosen as Arabic Language Day to commemorate the date that Arabic was approved as an official UN language. Students performed the same play in Arabic that they performed for this year’s Gaigosai.

The event is expected to promote closer ties between the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Japan and TUFS.
