IOM Japan Office Addresses International Law Class

December 8, 2021

On Thursday December 2, 2021, Mr. MOCHIZUKI Daihei, representative of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Tokyo, visited TUFS to deliver a lecture to the "International Law 2" class and introduce the students to IOM.

Participants included not only students taking the International Law 2 class, but also students interested in internships at IOM, making it a great opportunity to hear directly from someone working at a UN organization.

Prior to the lecture, Mr. Mochizuki paid a courtesy call on Executive Director/Vice President TAKEDA Chika (Student Affairs and External Relations) and Vice President MATSUKUMA Jun (International affairs).

The IOM is the only UN agency dedicated to addressing the issue of global human migration. Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, it is an international organization with nine regional offices worldwide and field offices in over 100 countries. TUFS concluded an internship agreement with IOM in 2010, and we have continued our exchange activities since then.
