TUFS Students & Faculty Attend Slovenian Embassy Event

On Thursday the 6th of December 2018, a cultural event was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia to coincide with the publication of a multilingual anthology of Slovenian writer Ivan Cankar’s famous works. The embassy invited students studying Slovenian literature in Japan to this event, and as a result TUFS students Ayaka Sanbe (School of Language and Culture Studies, Russian Language Studies, fourth year) and Mebae Fujii (School of Language and Culture Studies, Czech Language Studies, third year) attended this event and gave a presentation on the life, achievements and literary works of Ivan Cankar.
In addition to this, Professor Marjeta Klinar, who teaches many classes at TUFS, gave speeches on Slovenian language and culture education in Japan, and the University of Ljubljana. A speech was also given by TUFS Associate Professor Kumiko Kanazashi (Institute of Global Studies), the final reviewer of this translated anthology, on the translation process of this project.
