February 28, 2019

On Thursday the 22nd of November 2018, Vice President Prof. Ngo Minh Thuy and eight professors from the University of Languages and International Studies (ULIS), a college of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), visited TUFS and met with President Tateishi. This meeting was also attended by director of the Japanese Language Center for International Students, Professor Tomoko Fujimura, and Vietnamese language teacher Professor Akio Imai.
ULIS VNU and TUFS have continued to have a close relationship. Since 2006, the Japanese Language Center for International Students has been both sending and receiving Japanese language teachers between the two universities, and has supported training programs for Japanese language teachers. In 2015, an Academic Exchange Agreement was signed, signaling the start of student exchanges between the two universities.
Vice President Thuy and the eight professors came to Japan for a study tour on educational administration for teachers, and visited TUFS as part of this.
After the meeting, the visiting professors took a tour of the Japanese Language Center for International Students and the Library, and enjoyed themselves at the TUFS Gaigosai that coincided with their visit.
