SADC Ambassador Relay Lecture Series 2018: Zambia, Tanzania, South Africa and Mozambique

This relay lecture series was made a reality by the ambassadors of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), and is held second period every Wednesday in the fall quarter as a compulsory subject for first-year undergraduates majoring in African Area Studies (School of International and Area Studies) at TUFS.
Four lectures of this series were held from Wednesday the 17th of October to Wednesday the 14th of November 2018.

【Lecture Five】November 14th (Wednesday), Mozambique, His Excellency Mr. Jose Maria da Silva Vieira de Morais, Ambassador

The lecturers put great effort into preparing the lecture content and visual materials, and the students were introduced to the history of political movements, economics and industrial trends, tourism, and Japan relations in each country from their suzerainty and independence to the present day. The students actively asked questions based on their own studies, and seemed to thoroughly enjoy conversing with the lecturers.

To promote intercultural exchange between Japan and Southern African countries, these lectures are also open to all TUFS students and faculty members.
