The School of Japan Studies Will Open in April 2019

Here at TUFS, the establishment of a third undergraduate department called the ‘School of Japan Studies’ has been envisioned for April 2019, and a plan for this was submitted for review to The Council for University Chartering and School Juridical Person of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. We are proud to announce that our plan has been accepted.

This new department will aim to develop human resources that will contribute to solving the problems facing contemporary Japan such as changes in environment around the world and Japan, the relative decline of Japan’s presence, and the multilingualization and multiculturalization of Japanese society. Please anticipate great things from The School of Japan Studies.
