Information Session held for Parents and Guardians

On Saturday the 16th of June and Sunday the 1st of July, TUFS held information sessions for the parents and guardians of current students (sponsored by the TUFS Student Support Association).

Information Session at TUFS

On Saturday the 16th of June, an information session for the parents and guardians of first and second year students was held at the TUFS Fuchu Campus. Around 400 parents and guardians attended.

The session began with speeches from the Head of the TUFS Student Support Association, Ms. Chieko Doshu, and TUFS President, Mr. Hirotaka Tateishi. This was followed by presentations on job-hunting by the Student Affairs Division, and overseas exchanges by the TUFS Student Mobility Center. Presentations were also given by TUFS students who have come back from their overseas exchanges. Lastly, a presentation on the Tokyo Gaigokai’s student support structure was given by Vice Chairman of the Tokyo Gaigokai, Mr. Yoshio Shimizu.

After the information session, department gatherings and individual consultation sessions were held. At the consultation sessions, many parents and guardians could be seen asking questions about overseas exchange and post-graduation options.

Information Session in Fukuoka

On Sunday the 1st of July, an information session for the parents and guardians of first to third year students was held in Fukuoka.

The session began with a speech from Ms. Chieko Doshu and TUFS Vice President Chika Takeda, which was followed by presentations on job-hunting support by the Student Affairs Division, and overseas exchanges by the Student Exchange Division. In addition to this, presentations were given by TUFS students who have been on an overseas exchange, and a speech was given by Mr. Koji Hasegawa, Chairman of the Tokyo Gaigokai. Around 80 parents and guardians attended this information session, and participated actively right until the end of the individual consultation session following the information session.
