Tokyo Gaigokai Scholarship Award Ceremony held at TUFS

On Wednesday the 4th of July, the 2018 Tokyo Gaigokai Scholarship Award Ceremony was held in the President’s Office at TUFS.
This scholarship, thanks to the support of Tokyo Gaigokai, is awarded to third year students (excluding international students) who excel in their studies and show good character. This award was established in 2011, with this year being the eighth time the award has been given. This year, the scholarship has been awarded to five students; three from the School of Language and Culture Studies, and two from the School of International and Area Studies. The students received words of encouragement from Tokyo Gaigokai Executive Director, Mr. Arimichi Kanegae, and were presented with their letters of acceptance by TUFS President, Mr. Hirotaka Tateishi. The students also received words of encouragement from President Tateishi, and the student representative of the awarded group gave a speech in which he expressed his gratitude towards Tokyo Gaigokai, and spoke about future aspirations regarding his studies.
