TUFS student wins the 11th Bach International Guitar Contest

The 11th Bach International Guitar Competition was held at Edogawa’s Tobu Friend Hall on Sunday, April 25. TAKADA, Erika, fourth-year student Spanish major from the School of Language and Culture Studies, won.

TAKADA, Erika’s comments on winning

I am very happy to have won first place on the Bach International Guitar Contest. Also, I am thankful to the organizers who decided to hold the event even during these difficult times while taking anti-covid measures. I felt happy to have a place where to share music. Also, I hope more people get interested in classical guitar as a result of this being featured in the university’s news.
I will continue to do my best in trying to make better music.
