Photo Exhibition “Identities of a Minority: Muslims in America”

From November 18, 2022 (Friday) to December 15, 2022 (Thursday), a photo exhibition, “Identities of a Minority: Muslims in America” was held in the exhibition room, ground floor of the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia and Africa (ILCAA). The exhibition featured 25 photographs by Rick Rocamora, a documentary photographer who has captured the lives of Muslims in the United States since the events of September 11, 2001, along with commentary that illustrated some of their rich and transformative experiences. The exhibition aimed to deliver the idea that human life is not confined to origin or religion. The exhibition was held during the 100th GAIGOSAI Festival, and had many visitors from inside and outside of the university.
