Associate Professor Takanori Oishi Receives Daido Life Foundation Incentive Award for Area Studies

On Friday, July 8, 2022, the winners of the 37th Daido Life Foundation Awards for Area Studies were announced, and TUFS Associate Professor Takanori Oishi was awarded the Daido Life Foundation Incentive Award for Area Studies. This prize was established to promote understanding of people and cultures of various regions and to honor researchers who have contributed to regional studies on a global scale. Associate Professor Oishi was awarded this prize for his contribution to the deepening and development of African area studies through research on the interaction between people and nature in the tropical forest regions of Central Africa.
