TUFS has signed an Academic Exchange Agreement and Student Exchange Agreement with Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), China.

On Wednesday 5th April, 2017, President PENG Long from Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) and President Hirotaka Tateishi from TUFS signed the academic exchange agreements in a ceremony at TUFS. Four professors from BFSU attended the ceremony. Joining from TUFS were Prof. Kayoko Hayashi (Executive Director), Prof. Minoru Iwasaki (Executive Director), Prof. Sukero Ito (Vice President), Prof. Tomoko Fujimura (Director of Japanese Language Center for International Students), Prof. Sho Hagio (Chief of International Management Office), and Prof. Haruko Kato (in charge of the agreement).

TUFS established the academic exchange agreement with BFSU in 2011. Since then, we have been conducting research exchanges. On this occasion, we renewed the academic agreement and signed a new student exchange agreement in order to make it possible to further promote student exchange.

After the signing ceremony, a discusison on future exchange took place.

It is expected as a next exchange plan that our President as well as an executive director will attend the Global Consortium for Foreign Studies Universities held in BFSU in May.
