TUFS Students Win Big at Vietnamese Speech Contest

On Saturday the 4 th of November, TUFS student Tamako Yoshino (School of Language and Culture Studies, Vietnamese language studies, third-year) won the grand prize at the '11 th Vietnamese Speech Contest' (hosted by Kanda University of International Studies, sponsored by the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Japan). Aside from Ms. Yoshino, TUFS student Yasue Unno (School of International and Area Studies, Southeast Asian Area Studies, third-year) came in first place in Category C (Third & fourth-year division for participants with no overseas exchange experience), and Hiroshi Yoshida (School of International and Area Studies, Southeast Asian Area Studies, third-year) came in second place in Category E (division for participants with Vietnamese parents).
The participants gave speeches to topics such as 'Vietnam and I, Ten Years Later,' and 'Ordeals and Growth.'
