TUFS Team Places 3rd at Eastern Japan Rowing Championship

On Saturday 15 ^th and Sunday 16 ^th of July, Yui Suzuki (School of International and Area Studies, Southwest European Studies, fourth year), Motoka Hayashi (School of International and Area Studies, Southwest European Studies, third year), Minami Kimura (School of Language and Culture Studies, German Language Studies, third year), and Seika Kyo (School of Language and Culture Studies, Persian Language Studies, third year) came in third place (women's coxless fours) at the Eastern Japan Rowing Championship held at the Toda Olympic Boat Course in Saitama. The TUFS men's coxless fours team also competed, and came in fourth place.

The Eastern Japan Rowing Championship features a 2000m race that students and adults alike can participate in, and paves the way to the Japan National Rowing Championship. With this win, the team will be set to compete in the National Championship, which will be held from the 31 ^st August until 3 ^rd September.
