June 16, 2017

On Friday 2 nd June 2017, Councilor Wāng wǎn and Secretary Pan Lin paid a visit to President Tateishi from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Japan.
Councilor Wāng wǎn gave an explanation of the " 日中友好大学訪中団 " programme, and requested the university's cooperation in taking applications from our students.
This aim of this project is for Japanese university students to gain a more objective understanding of China, and involves them visiting regions such as Beijing and Chengdu, having direct contact with Chinese life and culture by meeting Chinese university students and deepening mutual understanding. TUFS students have been participating in the project since its commencement in 2014. To mark the 45 th anniversary of the restoration of diplomatic relations between Japan and China, this year the usual number of participants has been expanded, with 500 places becoming available.

This project has gained much popularity among TUFS students, and we have expressed our desire to continue our cooperation this year. In addition, in order to further deepen our relationship of exchange with China, further exchange with the Chinese embassy was discussed.
