President Tateishi Attended Taiwan - Japan University President`s Forum on May 12th

On the 12th of May 2016 (Thu), President Tateishi attended the “2016 Taiwan – Japan University President`s Forum” which was held at National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan (Taiwan city).

At the forum, participants from 73 universities in Taiwan and participants from 67 universities in Japan brought a total of over 250 participants which under the topic of “Globalization and the Challenges Confronting Universities in Taiwan and Japan” discussed the following important agendas “Strategy for dealing with internationalization and globalization at university”, “Education field: International internship, exchange students, new model for international cooperation and students employment power” and “Research field: International cooperation research, exchange research and academic alliance”.

At the second session “Education field: International internship, exchange students, new model for international cooperation and students employment power”, President Tateishi served as chairman. After the introduction of the pioneering efforts in the field of education, a discussion was held regarding the new model formation for international cooperation which will be used from here on.

TUFS has concluded academic exchange agreements with National Chengchi University, National Taiwan University, National Taiwan Normal University, Tamkang University and Kainan University. We have a lively exchange continuing between these universities which includes such things as exchanging students at the undergraduate and post graduate level, Chinese study and also the dispatching of Japanese language teacher training students.
