On the 9th of May 2016 (Mon), the 2nd lecture in the “Lively Diplomat” series (Lecturer: Shinomiya Heisuke, the previous ambassador of Guatemala) (Sponsored by: Information Center for Social and International Collaboration) was held here at TUFS.
Mr. Shinomiya who is an expert regarding business in Latin America and other Spanish speaking regions gave a lecture with the theme “Looking back at 40 years of service in Latin America”.

Finally, he gave an explanation regarding the relationship between America and the country for which he had served as Ambassador, Guatemala, which could also be called a miniature scale version of Latin America.
31 people attended the lecture from both outside and inside of TUFS. Mr. Shinomiya`s views which were based on his actual experiences were widely discussed and the participants were passionately listening to what he had to say.
