Last Lectures by Retiring Professors and Farewell Party Held

On March 12th, the final lecture by professor Kazuaki Tani, who will retire at the end of this academic year, took place at Sakura Hall, the Japanese Language Center for International Students(JLC).
His last lecture, “Germany and Japan Seen from a Back Street in Hamburg-Altona―Thinking Back On a 20-year Field Investigation,” was about investigations into social and cultural movements in Germany, activities by a social cultural center, and relations with those who were involved in those movements.
TUFS citizen auditor students and graduates of the JLC students were among the attendees. A farewell party was also held on March 18th.
