Delegation from Royal Institute of Thailand Visits TUFS

On Wednesday, December 3rd, 16 members from the Dictionary Revision Commission of the Royal Institute of Thailand visited TUFS.
The delegation, including Dr.Nitaya, met Koji Miyazaki (Executive Director for International Strategies), Toshiyuki Miyata (Professor), Makoto Minegishi(Professor), Seiji Uto (Professor), and Sunisa Sittayapanyanon (Associate Professor).
The Dictionary Revision Commission is an academic group which consists of experienced Thai scholars. It edits and reviews the Royal Institute Dictionary.
The members also observed a Thai language class and became acquainted with students. After that, they came to the Research Institute for the Languages and Cultures of Asia and Africa(ILCAA). They talked about the current developments in language resources such as electronic dictionaries and multilingual search tools. They exchanged their opinions and discussed prospects for the research.
