TUFS President Tateishi Participates in the Second Mexico-Japan Rectors' Summit

From October 27th to 28th, the second Mexico-Japan Rectors’ Summit was held at the University of Guanajuato and the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes. TUFS president Tateishi and associate professor Kuno attended. 

Participants from 27 Japanese universities and institutions, along with those from 52 Mexican universities and institutions took part in the meeting. The Deputy Secretary of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan, Kihei Maekawa and the Japanese ambassador to Mexico, Shuichiro Megata were among the attendees
Foreign Secretary Meade, Governor of Guanajuato Márquez, and Governor of Aguascalientes Lozano also took part in the summit.

They discussed several topics: cooperation between universities in both countries, cultural exchange, partnership in the fields of science and technology, and the development of human resources. On the final day, a joint statement was released. 

The press packed the two cities. President Tateishi was interviewed by local media, showing the high level of interest in Mexico-Japan relations.
