TUFS Postgraduate Students Receive the Awards for Best Presentation at the Japanese Linguistics Society's Convention.

  On Sunday, November 25, Hayato Aoi and Yasushi Ootaki, both 2nd year students of TUFS’ post graduate program for comprehensive international studies, received the Awards for Best Presentation at the 144th Japanese Linguistics Society’s Convention.
   These academic awards are presented by the Japanese Linguistics Society to the creators of the oral presentations or poster presentations, deemed most outstanding during the convention. Aoi’s “The Understanding of Phonology in Lower Middle Vowels Within the Metropolitan,” and Ootaki’s “The Spelling and Construction of Syllables in Maiden Names Starting With Mac- and Mc-” were the works that led to the reception of the awards.
