A Post Graduate Student of TUFS Receives the Chinese Linguistic Society of Japan's Award of Encouragement

  On Saturday, October 27, Yasunori Takahashi, a 3rd year Post Graduate Student of TUFS, specializing in research in international language, received the 12th Award of Encouragement from the Chinese Linguistic Society of Japan.
  This academic award is presented to the researcher under the age of 40 with outstanding achievements in Chinese literature in Japan, for the purpose of fostering researchers who will become leaders of the next generation. It is presented to the author of the most outstanding article published within the previous year in the Chinese Linguistic Society of Japan’s magazine, “Chinese Linguistics.” Mr. Takahashi’s article, “The Position in the Change of State Within the Growth of Phonology in Shanghainese,” published in the 258th edition of the “Chinese Linguistics” magazine, was the article that led to the reception of the award.
