TUFS Swim Club Win Big at National Swimming Competition

From Saturday 5th August - Monday 7th August, the TUFS Swimming Club achieved great results at the '90th Kanto Student Championship Swimming Competition' held at the Yokohama International Swimming Pool. In particular, the team won the 4th division male 200m relay for the first time in TUFS history.

Male 4th Division 100m Freestyle
Yu Inoue (School of International and Area Studies, Southwest European Studies, First Year) 53"14 3rd Place

Male 4th Division 100m Backstroke
Muneyuki Takeuchi (School of Language and Culture Studies, Portuguese Language Studies, Third Year) 1'00"39 2nd Place

Male 4th Division 200m Backstroke
Muneyuki Takeuchi (School of Language and Culture Studies, Portuguese Language Studies, Third Year) 2'15"16 4th Place

Following this win, on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th of August, Shintaro Imai, Muneyuki Takeuchi, Ayako Sasaki (School of Language and Culture Studies, Filipino Language Studies, Third Year), and Yu Inoue will compete in the '64th National Public University Championship Swimming Competition' (sponsored by Japan Swimming Federation) in the Fukui Prefecture.

In addition, Muneyuki Takeuchi and Yu Inoue will compete in the '93rd Japan Student Championship Swimming Competition' (sponsored by Japan Swimming Federation) in Osaka on Friday 1st and Sunday 3rd of September.
