Completed Projects
Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention, Oct - Feb 2005
Sponsored by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA)
Activities included:
- 30-hour Training Seminar on Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention with guest lecturers;
- Group field research in Timor-Leste and Indonesia (2 professors, 1 professional, and 10 graduate students), including interviews with ex-combatants and staff from various types of organizations, and a resulting collection of research report;
- Public Symposium on Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention in Tokyo.

Peacebuilding, Reconciliation and Peace Education in Cambodia, Dec - Feb 2005
Sponsored by the UNESCO Asia/Pacific Culture Center
Activities included:
- 1-day preparatory seminar with experts on Cambodian peace and reconciliation processes;
- Group field research in Cambodia (1 professors, 1 program staff, and 9 graduate students), including interviews with staff of 25+ governmental and non-governmental organizations, and a resulting collection of research report;
- Public Symposium on Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention in Tokyo.
