International Symposium “Globalizing Japanese Studies: Current Issues in Education and Research”
The first International Symposium “Globalizing Japanese Studies: Current Issues in Education and Research” was organized by the International Center for Japanese Studies. The Symposium was held over two days on 6th and 7th March, 2010 at the Large Conference Room of the Administration Offices Building, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. Twenty speakers from fifteen countries and three commentators from Japanese universities were invited to give presentations on current issues in each region, and to give commentaries concerning various perspectives. There were over two-hundred participants who attended the Symposium, and they contributed to fruitful discussion sessions.
