The 13th "South Korea-Africa Encounters via Culture and Arts: The Case of Seoul Africa Festival"

African Studies Center -TUFS (ASC -TUFS) and the Center for African Area Studies - Kyoto University (CAAS - KU) will hold ASC Seminar #13 / TUFS-KU Seminar #5 on April 20, 2018. We will invite Ohsoon Yun, a research professor of Institute of African Studies, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, South Korea, who has been staying at Center for African Area Studies, Kyoto University as a visiting professor.

The title is "South Korea-Africa Encounters via Culture and Arts: The Case of Seoul Africa Festival." She will talk about an importance of a participatory event to share knowledge on Africa. Dr. Yun is now an Executive Director of the Seoul Africa Festival, which was initiated in 2016 and aims to spread awareness among Koreans on culture in Africa.
